At Great Performances, we have the pleasure of working with some of the most iconic venues and cultural institutions in New York City, including Jazz at Lincoln Center. Our event team works tirelessly on every event, ensuring that the menus will tempt the guests, that the food is beautiful and delicious, and the service is impeccable. Jazz at Lincoln Center is one of the most versatile, dynamic venue for events. This multi-faceted space includes stunning views of Columbus Circle and Central Park South, state of the art audio visual technology, and flexible rooms which allow for a variety of configurations. Film premieres find the perfect stage in The Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center which boasts the ATMOS® Cinema System. 108 speakers create a state-of-the-art surround sound cinematic experience that ensures every nuance of a film is heard. Configurable seating options help to create the perfect experience for audiences. Nonprofit organizations have long held events at Jazz at Lincoln Center, including UNICEF’s 75th anniversary held on Giving Tuesday this year. The configurable tiered seating in the Appel Room lends itself well to dinners during a presentation as it gives everyone an excellent view of the speakers; while the Ertegun Atrium’s large floor plan, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide bright, natural light during the day and dramatic views of New York City during the evenings.

2021 Heisman Trophy Ceremony on ESPN

After touring dozens of venues across New York City, the Heisman Trust and ESPN leaders selected the stunning Appel Room for the Heisman Trophy Ceremony held Saturday, December 11, 2021. Production design was done by award-winning creative director David Korins with lighting design by David Grill and a 9-foot tall hand-carved and painted replica Heisman trophy by Rebecca Ward of Mystic Scenic Studios.

Annual Investor Conference

Bright, open spaces and easily configurable seating make Jazz at Lincoln Center an easy choice for corporate events, easily accommodating a 200-person annual investor conference. Jazz at Lincoln Center has hosted dozens of nonprofit events over the years. Unicef’s 75th Anniversary Gala Dinner included speakers, performances, and videos, all of which were integrated seamless into the event. Wave Hill

Wave Hill, the idyllic public garden in The Bronx, is now reopen with extended hours from 10AM to 5:30PM from Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are required and get ready to escape to stunning views and lush greenery and the brilliant colors of changing leaves.

For Indigenous People’s Day, learn more about the history of the land on which you now live. Learn the story of how the ancestral lands of the Iroquois-speaking people came to grow from a turtle’s back. Create screenprints of this special turtle and imagine the indigenous tradition of the “Honorable Harvest,” then use dirt to create drawings that honor the history of the ancestral lands of the Iroquois-speaking people.

Jazz At Lincoln Center Presents Live From Dizzy’s

Live From Dizzy’s welcomes club favorites & emerging artists back to the Dizzy’s Club stage. Artists and staff will adhere to cleaning, testing and safety guidelines performing in small ensembles as we virtually come together with friends, fans and family from around the world. Each live performance will be followed by an interview with Dizzy’s Club manager Roland Chassagne.

Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre is a home for playwrights, artists and audience members. They had originally planned to launch SigSpace in their unique lobby. Instead, they transformed SigSpace to a virtual program. This brand new initiative brings artistically-anchored programming to viewers at home.

MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

The Museum of the City of New York’s beautifully renovated landmark building on Fifth Avenue’s iconic Museum Mile is the perfect place for special events–weddings, bar mitzvahs, corporate dinners, birthday and graduation parties, and more. Suitable for up to 350 people.


NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY

The magnificent space, catering to both intimate gatherings as well as lavish extravaganzas, will lend a sense of grandeur and distinction to any occasion. This landmark building offers four classically elegant rooms for events. All event fees help to support the Library’s indispensable collections, services, and programs. Perfect for groups of up to 750 people.


THE TIMES CENTER

TheTimesCenter, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, is a versatile, visually stunning, state-of-the-art event venue. Designed by acclaimed architect Renzo Piano, TheTimesCenter is comprised of The Stage and The Hall, each with its own unique lobby. Suitable for up to 800 guests.


WOLLMAN RINK

Located in the high-energy southeast end of Central Park, this iconic venue offers a quintessential New York experience on a stunning backdrop, year-round, featuring skating in the winter, warm-weather recreation and continuous special events programming. The facility is available for private and semi-private parties, complete with food and beverage service, as well as exclusive venue buyouts for special events or media, film, and commercial shoots.

APOLLO THEATER

Located in the heart of Harlem, off of 125th Street, the legendary Apollo Theater has housed some of the most talented musicians from around the world since 1934. From Aretha Franklin, to James Brown, to The Jackson 5, the Apollo is the true definition of a musical institution and paved the way for emerging and established African-American and Latino performers.

FREDERICK P. ROSE HALL AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER

 

Located in the heart of Columbus Circle, Frederick P. Rose Hall is the home of Jazz at Lincoln Center and the world’s first performing arts facility designed specifically for jazz. It contains three venues which offer an array of musical entertainment throughout the week as well as fantastic views of Central Park.

GOVERNORS ISLAND

Located in the Upper New York Bay, Governors Island is a mini oasis from the busy Manhattan scene. Governors Island hosts an array of large scale events throughout the year, until the end of their program season, which falls on October 31st this year. The 13th Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party and Rite of Summer are two of their biggest musical programs this summer and tickets are still available!
