My daughter has a new passion, helping mom in the kitchen – though the time that she spends helping in the kitchen is usually pretty limited (she gets bored after peeling one carrot). It’s so much fun seeing her slice grapes and strawberries, while learning how much pressure to put on the toddler friendly knife to make it go through the fruit. Watching the joy she gets from completing one slice is amazing. Her favorite thing (and her favorite food) is helping make the mac and cheese. She gets very excited about slicing the butter, getting all the cheese out of the packet, and overserving the milk to where mac n’ cheese is no longer a pasta, but a pasta soup. I am looking forward to all the cooking adventures we have in the future!
