The Irene Diamond Stage

Seated: 294
The largest of The Pershing Square Signature Center’s three performance spaces, the Diamond’s 294 seats evokes a heightened sense of drama even before the lights come up. The warm, plywood panels , which evoke the texture of cracked earth and surround the space and fade to black as they approach the stage, carrying your vision toward the scenic space of the play.

The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre

Seated: 190 - 250
An immersive experience. The Linney recreates the time-honored experience of courtyard theater, lending itself to countless imaginative stagings and configurations, each intended to forge an intimate connection between audiences and performers. If a writer can imagine it, they can create it in The Linney. Made possible by a generous gift from Signature Board Member Margot Adams, this space honors the memory of founding Playwrite-in-Residence and prolific scribe Romulus Linney.

The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre

Seated: 191
An intimate opera house experience. The Griffin combines the decadence and acoustic perfection of an opera house with the immersive intimacy that is Signature’s hallmark trait. Crafted plywood panels frame the proscenium and wrap around the balcony front and sides and are acoustically engineered to fill the house with full, clear, and rich sound. This theater is named for Dr. Alice Griffin, the prolific playwright best known as the author of Shakespeare’s Women in Love.

The Ford Foundation Studio Theater

Seated: 90
A state-of-the-art performance and rehearsal space. The Ford Studio is integral to developing the visions of our artists-in-residence by providing an environment to explore, take artistic risks, and nurture their work. Doubling as a performance venue, the space accommodates up to 90 seats and is equipped with double-height ceilings, a full lighting grid, a sprung dance floor, and windows that look out onto Manhattan.

The Rehearsal Studio

Seated: 40, Standing: 80
Bright studio space in a prime location. The Rehearsal Studio is one of two studio spaces in The Pershing Square Signature Center that are available for rehearsals, staged readings and special events. Studio hours are 9am – 10pm on weekdays and 9:30am – 10:00pm on weekends (excluding holidays). The Rehearsal Studio rents on a one-week minimum lock-out, one-day rentals are considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Center Lobby

Seated: 300, Standing: 450
The Center Lobby can accommodate up to 300 for a seated dinner and 450 for a standing cocktail reception.

The Griffin Lobby

Seated: 65, Standing: 130
The Griffin Lobby is the perfect space to host a small dinner party or cocktail reception. The 1,300 square-foot Griffin Lobby has a small bar and can accommodate up to 65 for a seated dinner and 130 for a standing cocktail reception.
